The Blackgaard Chronicles Novels

There's some new books out that should excite any AIO fan!

Phil Lollar, the co-creator of Odyssey, is writing the episodes from the Blackgaard saga in book format. That's not the only great thing about this series. There's also extra scenes and dialogue that weren't in the audio episodes that give a new look at the storyline and helps tie everything together more.

There are two volumes out right now (with more to come!) and we've got the details on the first two books.

Book 1: Opening Moves

A conniving city councilman is secretly carrying out plans against John Avery Whittaker and Whit's End. Yet Philip Glossman is only a pawn in a dark game played by the mysterious Dr. Regis Blackgaard.

Meanwhile, against Whit's express orders, Eugene and Connie tamper with a top-secret computer room—and the destructive Applesauce program is unleashed. Can Whit counter the forces opposing him? What does Dr. Blackgaard really want?

Book 2: Pawn's Play

While Connie deals with complications of her own at Camp What-A-Nut, Eugene starts working at Campbell College in the computer department. He’s quickly entangled in a grade-changing scheme and must step up to rescue an 11-year-old kid genius.

Behind the scenes, Blackgaard makes moves to force our Odyssey friends into corners with no escape route. Will the power of good defeat Blackgaard’s evil scheme?

You can order Opening Moves and Pawn's Play from the Focus on the Family Store.

If you want to hear more about these books, you can also hear an interview with Earl Boen, the voice of Regis Blackgaard and Phil Lollar, the writer of these books, in the latest Official AIO Podcast.

Austin Peachey

Austin Peachey is a die-hard reader and audio drama fan. He's run the Adventures in Odyssey Blog for over 8 years and has produced a few audio dramas of his own. He's also worked on the 2nd edition of The Official Guide to Odyssey and can be heard on Phil Lollar's Iliad House.
