Anyway, episode #134 is and interview with Kelly Stables, the new voice of Olivia Parker. She also talks about how she got started in show business and how she got on Odyssey.
Episode #135 includes and interview with Bob Hoose, writer and director for AIO. In it, he talks about writing Emily the Genius and Unbecoming Jay, directing, and more!

Coming Soon - Sibling Spies

Do you remember a mini radio drama called Austin Peachey, PI that we did for our 20th podcast? We had a lot of fun making it and everyone enjoyed listening to it. Well, we're working on another one! Actually, we've been working on it for a couple of months now. It's called...Sibling Spies!

The basic plot is:
Andy and Christy Fox, two agents for the I.I.I. (International Intrigue Investigators), must stop the evil Dr. Killjoy from launching a mysterious device called the M.M, a machine that would mean utter chaos in our world.

There's more to it than that, but that's just the gist of it. The last time we did something like this, the cast was limited, the story wasn't really a story, just mostly jokes, and didn't really have anything redeeming in it. This time, it's going to be different. Sibling Spies will have a much more developed plot, a bigger cast, and a moral. But we'll also have plenty of humor, action, and drama, too.

The cast includes:
Austin Peachey (yours truly)
Natasha Peachey ( You know who that is.)
Victoria Francis (We interviewed her and her brother in episode #24)
Frank Montenegro (the voice of Dr. Kendall Park on the radio show Jonathan Park)
Phil Lollar (voice of Dale Jacobs on AIO and Millard the Monkey on Jungle Jam)

The moral:
The source of true happiness

We're really excited about this. We've already have several scenes done. Sibling Spies will be on our 30th podcast and be released in January of next year.

The AIO Blog Scavenger Hunt

It's been a long time since we've had a contest here at the blog. In the past, all the contests only had ToO dollars as prizes. Things are going to change, starting now!

How would you like to win a copy of the Blackgaard Chronicles? That's right. You, yes you, could win an album containing all the episodes in the Blackgaard Saga, a special half hour video interview with Phil Lollar and Paul McCusker, and some classic and new artwork of the series.

"How," you ask,"do I go about winning it?"

It's time to play detective! You need to find out the secret word that will make you a winner.

As you can see, some letters are missing. You need to find the missing letters. To do that, you need to go where this clue tells you to go.

Once you find the right place you'll find a letter to put into the clue bar above. On the same page, you'll find the next clue along with the next letter, and so on. Once you find all the letters, put them in the bar and then unscramble the letters. The letters that are already in place are in the right place. Just switch around the letters you found.

After you get the secret word, email it to us by using the form on our Contact page. Oh, and make sure to include the links where you found the letters. The first person to send in the secret word and the links will win the Blackgaard Chronicles! By the way, this contest is only open to residents of the continental United States.

Tons of Odyssey News!

I know, I know. You thought I fell off the face of the earth. There has been lots of news about AIO and I haven't posted any of it! *Gasp!* Well, I haven't been able to get online on a computer for a long time, but I hope this post will make up for the times I didn't. Ok, here goes:

First off, 5 brand new cover arts for album repacks have been revealed. It's been a long time since we've seen this kind of things. But now we have an overload! See below:

Some other great news is that the Blackgaard Chronicles is now out! Even if you have all the albums with eps from the Blackgaard saga, there's still a lot of new stuff for you to enjoy! There's a great DVD in the set with a 30-minute conversation between Paul McCusker and Phil Lollar about the creation of the saga. There is also new illustrations of Dr. Regis Blackgaard, Jack Allen, Jason Whittaker, Richard Maxwell, and Phillip Glossman, among others. Also, the collection contains bios of the actors relevant to the saga. It's available online from Focus on the Family and other online retailers and at Christian bookstores. Oh, and here's the back cover:

Also, if you're wondering what the Spring 2012 season will hold? Well we know what the album will be called: The Deep End! And the summary? We have that, too!

When Jason Whittaker tracks the villainous Mr. Grote to London, England, he discovers another ominous plot. With the help of some old friends, will he unravel it in time? Back in Odyssey, Eugene and Red reveal the story of a World War I hero—Sergeant Alvin York.

The last bit of news we have to share is about the Blogcast. This week, Natasha and I will be recording another interview with another very big Odyssey fan. Who is it? You'll have to wait and see! Also, we'll be recording our thoughts about the upcoming season. All of this will be in Episode 23. Be on the lookout for it!

Whew! That was a lot of work! Even though there's a lot happening now, just wait until we get closer to AIO's 25th Anniversary celebration. I'm sure we'll be in for a lot of special surprises!

...the Adventures in Odyssey Blog was launched. At the time, it was pretty much the only one of its kind. The main purpose of the blog was just to give the latest Odyssey news, but we soon branched out to other things, including wallpapers, contests, a podcast, and more!

This website has had lots of visitors since then. In fact, here's a few statistics for the blog:

And now a dedicated AIO fan has been making 3D animated videos of full episodes. They're quite entertaining. The animation and the voices don't always flow together but it is still really good. Maybe Focus will do this with future videos (if any).

I really like the direction that the Blackgaard album is going. The chess pieces pretty much sum up all of the saga. Such a clever idea. Although I don't like the new Whit drawing in it. But the Clanging Cymbals one doesn't really set well with me. Very lack-luster.

This is our BIG Surprise! We hinted at it with the monkey picture and someone got this close to guessing our surprise. And the surprise is...we're interviewing Phil Lollar on the Blogcast!!

That's right! The creator of our favorite radio drama, Adventures in Odyssey, is going to be answering your questions! Phil played Dale Jacobs on the show, along with many other small roles. He's directed over 300 episodes and written almost 200 shows.

Phil also teamed up with some of the Odyssey crew to create the hit Christian radio comedy, Jungle Jam, on which he played Millard the Monkey, Jean Claude the Flying Squirrel, among others.

And soon, Natasha & I will be interviewing him on our podcast and we need your help. We need as many questions to ask him as possible. For the last few years, Radio Theatre's website has been redirected to FOTF's resource section. When RT was in it's prime, it had a pretty large site with lots of details of the dramas,previews, and such.

Now I'm happy to announce that Radio Theatre's official site has been re-launched and is now up for your viewing pleasure! It's not as detailed as the original site, but it's a start.

This is great news! This shows that Focus is making more of an effort to get RT's listening audience up again and hopefully, enough funds to produce many more great dramas! So go ahead and see the site!

Oh, and buy some of the CDs. This will help support Radio Theatre and will give you great audio entertainment!
